Change Page Color Word For Mac

19.01.2019

You have to use Print Layout view in Word 2011 for Mac for this to work, so if you’re not already in Print Layout view, click the Print Layout view button at the lower-left corner of the document window to switch to it. When you modify the background in Print Layout view, Word 2011 for Mac can convert it into Notebook Layout view and Publishing Layout view. Three formatting tools are in the Page Background group of the Ribbon’s Layout tab: • Color: Click to display the color palette. Color formats the background layer that’s furthest to the back. • Watermark: Above the background layer but still behind the text layer is a layer that you can use if you want to add a watermark.

You can choose from two watermark types, Picture and Text. • Borders: Displays the Page Border tab of the Borders and Shadings dialog. This dialog is a creative person’s playground for customizing borders. • Setting: Choose from None, Box, Shadow, 3-D, or Custom. • Custom: Use the Interactive Preview to choose which edge(s) to apply or remove a border. • Style: Choose a line style for your border.

Does anyone know the shortcut to change the text color on Word 2011 on a Mac? I would like to ideally select a part of the text, press a key combination, and change the color of the text to the color in the Font toolbar. May 16, 2010  Finding the right highlight color is tricky as text color does not always invert, and Word for Mac appears to overlay a shade of the system highlight color. So when in high-contrast mode a system highlight color that was good for the system was not clear enough in Word, and when it was clear enough for Word it was too strong for the system.

Does anyone know how to change the page colour so I can have two MS Word document windows open at one time, with one using a white page, and the other using a page background that has a different colour so I can tell at a glance which is which? I've looked online for how to change my page colour on the screen for Word 2011 for Mac, but it looks as though all the explanations on the web have menu options which I don't. I've set my page view to 'print layout', but can't find any setting in my ribbon for 'layout'.

Likewise, I can't find anything in 'borders and shading' to change the page background colour. These are the two most common 'solutions' I've found online for this problem but neither seems to work. Sas on a mac. Please note: for anyone using another version of MS Word, Word 2011 for Mac is DIFFERENT and a 'poor cousin' of Windows versions of MS Word. Microsoft charges the same price for it, but delivers an inferior product for Mac users. Please don't waste your time posting solutions for other versions of MS Word - they probably won't work.

Why do I need this? I'm assembling a master document from MS Word files from several different authors, and it's nice to make sure I don't start editing the wrong document - hence the need for a different colour in the master document.
